DC Wiring – Our mission in solar is to reduce unnecessary layers and mark-ups. We accomplish this mission by cross training many of our staff in the mechanical and DC wiring scopes. This approach allows us to utilize the full potential of the labor force that is often locally recruited for many solar projects. By utilizing labor in an effective and efficient manner we are able to reduce overlap and cost mark-ups from multiple subcontractors. Our in house solar technicians monitor and quality check work and offer full DC commissioning capabilities including I-V Curve tracing and reporting.
AC Installation – Our team of Journey workers and Apprentices is well versed in multiple types of solar and industrial electrical projects. Our collective experience ensures that all of our projects are constructed safely, to local and national code requirements, and in a quality workmanlike manner.
Underground – At NESCO we pride ourselves in our in-house safety and operator training. Our full-time operators are put through rigorous training and safety classes. This training ensures that all underground work will be excavated and backfilled in a safe and quality manner. Our Foreman and Journey workers ensure the placement of all underground material and equipment meet the required specification. We test all underground conductors prior to backfilling and prior to termination to eliminate ground fault problems and ensure quality installation. Our team of operators takes care in backfilling operations to ensure no unwanted debris is placed and all trenches and excavations are backfilled to the required compaction.
Design Review – Value engineering is key to the owner/designer and contractor relationship. Owners rely on the expertise of the selected contractor to provide not only economic value but also input on items from a constructability and schedule standpoint. At NESCO we pride ourselves in our ability to expand upon designs to improve quality, safety and efficiency across all scopes. A common theme that trends across all NESCO projects is reduced change order risk for our clients. This is largely attributed to our in depth and detailed RFI approach. The pre-contract RFI process helps reduce risk for both parties and bridge any scope gaps that may exist and allow for a thorough and documented scope of work that both parties can reference.
Licensed Electrical/General Contractor – As a licensed Electrical and General Contractor in multiple states, NESCO can perform a suite of services from permitting to full turnkey interconnection services.
