Southern Montana Solar Projects, Size: 11.27MW
Located in Southern Montana, this portfolio of three projects totaling 11.27 MW- DC was awarded to NESCO has the General Contractor. Construction began in December 2017, and COD was achieved in March of 2017 across all three sites. These projects provided many challenges and obstacles to overcome including frost, bedrock, aggressive scheduling, and winter working conditions. With a strong management approach and detailed scheduling the projects were successfully completed on-time.
San Isabel Solar Project, Colorado Size: 37.5 MW
The 37.5 Megawatt (MW) DC San Isabel Solar Project began construction in May of 2016 and achieved substantial completion in November of 2016. The project consists of 120,960 modules and employed over 400 people. Despite a delayed start and compressed schedule the project was successfully completed on-time.
Owatonna Solar Project, Minnesota Size: 6.58 MW
Located in Owatonna, MN – just south of Minneapolis, the 6.58 MW (DC) Lemond Solar Center for Enerparc Inc. followed on the success of the Holdrege project. In an effort to meet project budgets NESCO took on stringent licensing requirements in the state to self-perform much of the work. This approach allowed NESCO to eliminate unnecessary markups and change orders that arise when employing multiple subcontractors. By utilizing safe and efficient techniques, minimizing cost redundancies and cross training personnel across the multiple scopes, the project will complete a month ahead of the COD requirements.
Holdrege Solar Project, Nebraska Size: 4.7 MW
Located in Holdrege, NE – just outside of Lincoln, this 4.7 MW (DC) project for Enerparc Inc. is Nebraska’s largest solar installation to date. NESCO’s scope included civil, fencing, mechanical and electrical work. Construction began late Q1 2016, and was completed by the beginning of Q3 2016. The project utilized 15,333 Heliene Modules, founded on Solar FlexRack’s TDL Series Single Axis Tracker.
Badger Solar Project Tonopah, Arizona Size: 21 MW
Located in Maricopa County, Arizona and developed by Juwi Solar, construction began on the Badger 1 Solar project in the 1st quarter of 2013. The 19.3 MW Badger 1 Solar project consists of approximately 65,000 crystalline-silicon solar panels that will generate 43,000 MW hours on an ATI DuraTrack Single axis tracking racking system on a 120-acre site.
Breckenridge Ullr Solar Array Breckenridge, Colorado Size: 500 kW
Located in Breckenridge, Colorado, construction began on the Breck Solar Community Solar Garden in 2nd Quarter 2013. The 500 kW project consists of 2,028 solar panels utilizing a S:Flex fixed array.
Poudre Valley Solar Windsor, Colorado Size: 160 kW
Located in Windsor, Colorado, construction began on the Poudre Valley Community Solar Garden in 2rd Quarter 2012,. The 160 kW project consists of more than 400 solar panels utilizing an S:Flex fixed array generating 115,000 watts of electricity.
Queen Creek Solar Queen Creek, Arizona Size: 25 MW
Located in Queen Creek, Arizona, and developed by Juwi Solar, construction began on the Queen Creek Solar project in January 2012,. The 25 MW Queen Creek Solar project is owned by PSEG and consists of 90,000 photovoltaic modules with an ATI DuraTrack Single axis tracking system that will generate 54,000 MW hours on a 135-acre site.
Cactus Gardens Henderson, Nevada Size: 602 kW
Located in Henderson, Nevada, and developed by Juwi Solar, construction began on the Cactus Garden Solar project for the Mars Candy Company in October 2011. The 602 kW Cactus Garden Solar project consists of 2,112 photovoltaic modules that will generate approximately 1256 MW hours on an ATI DuraTrack horizontal single-axis tracker.
Colorado Springs Solar Gardens Colorado Springs, Colorado Size: 500 kW
Located in Colorado Springs, Colorado, construction began on the Colorado Springs Community Solar Garden project in 4th Quarter 2011, The 500 kW project consists of 2,210 solar panels on an S:Flex fixed array.
Summit County School District Solar Project, Summit High School Stadium, Frisco, Colorado Size: 47.2 kW
Located in Frisco, Colorado, NESCO was contracted to drive 80 Sigma posts and install an S:Flex fixed array with 160 solar modules.
Battle Command Solar Project Fort Carson, Colorado Size: 61 KW
Located in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and developed by Sunpower, NESCO was contracted to install a Schletter fixed array module rack. The project included installation of 240 solar modules.
Whitcomb Solar Farm Essex Junction, VT Size: 3.57 MW
Located in Essex Junction, VT and developed by juwi Solar, construction began on the Whitcomb Solar Project in late August, 2014 and wrapped in early October, 2014. The 3.57MW Whitcomb Solar Farm project consists of 11,704 photovoltaic modules and Applied Energy Technologies (AET) Rayport G fixed Ground Mount system.
CAB Barracks Solar Installation, Fort Carson, Colorado Size: 408 kW
Located on Fort Carson in Colorado Springs, Colorado, developed by Mortenson Construction, with Encore Energy Services serving as the EPC contractor, construction began on the site late in the last quarter of 2014. The 408 kW project utilized 1,300 modules on a Solar FlexRack Fixed Tilt racking system.
Sunnyside Community Solar Generation Facility, Carbondale, CO Size: 1.79 MW
Located in Carbondale, Colorado, construction began on the 11.5 acre Sunnyside Community Solar
Facility for Sunsense Solar & Clean Energy Collective 4th Quarter 2014, and completed 1st Quarter
2015. The 1.79 MW (DC) project consists of 5,962 -235 Hanwha modules utilizing an ATI Single Axis
Sterling Correctional Facility/Horner Farm, Sterling CO Size: 2.5 MW
Located in Sterling, Colorado and developed by EcoPlexus, with Namasté Solar serving as the EPC contractor, construction began on the two sites the second quarter of 2014. The 2.5 MW project was built over two separate sites (500 kW & 2 MW), consisting of approximately 8,327 crystalline-silicon solar panels on an ATI DuraTrack Single Axis tracker system over approximately 18.5 acres.
Indy III Solar Indianapolis, Indiana Size: 3.24 MW
Located in Indianapolis, Indiana, construction took place during the 2nd quarter of 2015 on the Indy III
(Indianapolis Airport) site. The 3.24 MW (DC) project consists of 11,000 modules utilizing an ATI
Single Axis Tracker.
Old Mill Solar Bly, Oregon Size: 6.8 MW
Located in Bly, Klamath County, Oregon, construction began 3rd quarter of 2015, and will be completed
4th quarter 2015. The 6.8 MW (DC) project, constructed on an old lumber mill site, consists of 310-Watt Modules utilizing an Exosun HZ Single Axis Tracker.
