Ty grew up in his family’s construction business and it is forever in his blood. His background includes residential building, commercial construction, and civil construction. During his career he has worked as a construction Forman, Superintendent, Estimator, and Project Manager. While working for PCL Construction, he successfully won over $500 million in bids at Denver International Airport. Later, he became lead estimator on DIA and then spent 3 years as a DIA Project Manager. For the last 15 years, Ty has owned and operated his own Construction Company.
Ty excels in organizational skills and can take very large, complicated projects and break them down to manageable assignments. In addition, Ty has developed many professional relationships, allowing him to access resources against any project challenge.
Ty’s commitment to sustainable energy led him to start NESCO, where he is focused on construction to the sustainable energy industry.
Vice President – Construction
Ben has seven years of commercial and residential construction experience including six years of construction management, as well as experience in estimating, procurement and scheduling. As Construction Superintendent, Ben has managed crews of over 150 workers and has assisted in the development and implementation of NESCO’s innovative and efficient installation method. Ben is currently pursuing his NABCEP (North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners) certification.
Matthew Clausen brings over a decade of experience in account management, project management and operations to the NESCO team. Matthew and his experience have played an active role in NESCO rapidly becoming a nationally recognized company for PV Installation and General Contracting work for the Solar Industry. To have a full understanding of both sides of operations, Matthew’s time is currently split between the office and the field where he relates to all of NESCO’s employees on a personal and professional level. Spending time onsite also allows Matthew to be hands on in making sure that contracts are being followed, fulfilled and scopes of work are being executed. He brings great ability to negotiate with vendors, clients and sub-contractors all of which makes NESCO able to perform at its greatest capacity. From a management perspective, Matthew is responsible for Project Management, Estimating, Personnel Management and Reviews, Billings, Invoice Approval, Spending Approval, Contract Monitoring, other Contract Admin Duties, and Contract negotiations. Matthew’s experience and abilities that he brings to the team has allowed NESCO to continue to be “Safer, Better, Faster.”
Loss Prevention Manager
Kyle brings 25 years experience in Industrial, Commercial, Civil and residential construction. Born and raised in Montana, he grew up working in his families construction business, gaining knowledge of all aspects of the construction industry. For the last 12 years, Kyle has owned and operated his own construction and consulting business. With vast experience in Construction as a General Contractor and Owner, Kyle is able to identify potential issues and problem solve solutions to keep projects moving forward. With experience as a Safety Consultant, Kyle is able to oversee the constant safety needs of job sites. From training workers on specific safety topics, training and developing equipment operators and implementing the high standard of safe practices and operations at NESCO. Kyle is consistently building relationships with NESCO employees and contractors to further our commitment to be ‘Safer, Better, Faster’.
