Foundations – Pile Design; Pile Installation; Load Testing
Pile Design – NESCO collaborates with engineering firms to offer customized foundation solutions. Our assessments are based on detailed reviews of geotechnical reports, on-site pile testing, soil analysis and all applicable codes and load considerations. Our tailored approach is based on vast experience with installations throughout the country, and allows NESCO to accurately estimate materials and labor – resulting in reduced costs. From direct drive, to pre-drill and cast-in-place, NESCO has the experience of installing over 250 MWs of foundations for solar projects throughout the country and can provide creative design solutions to any project to overcome any subsurface condition.
Pile Installation – NESCO executes its Post driving services with the industry’s premier GAYK Hydraulic Pile Driving System, and Vermeer PD10’s. This specialized equipment, allows NESCO to provide fast and accurate post installation for a wide variety of systems. The quality and accuracy of our post installations allow for increased productivity of the follow-on rack installation, and the mobility of the GAYK and PD10’s allows mobilization to accommodate any size project. At NESCO we utilize a combination of Variable Plane lasers and Pipe lasers to ensure all foundations are driven to the correct height and well within the given tolerances of the selected racking system.
Installation capacity is one of the most critical items for the portfolio success. The NESCO team has the ability to meet required timelines and project duration, and has the flexibility to condense the project implementation timeline even further than outlined should a development delay present itself (financing close, equipment leads times depending on construction NTP, etc.). In house pile driving and a full self-perform approach, NESCO has increased capacity and resource control compared to most solar contractors.
Load Testing – In collaboration with project and geotechnical engineers, NESCO offers pullout and lateral load testing to ensure precise system design and accurate material requirements. We are well-versed in all types of foundations and can provide a complete, turnkey post foundation solution.
